Heya Fellas

Hey guys i'm HellBorn, fairly laid back and easy going. I'm a pretty big Mechwarrior fan, which pretty much started when Mechwarrior 2 came out....about 17 years ago :S. I'm a fairly experienced gamer in FPS and i love simulators (shame not many are made anymore). I plan on running in a few chassis, those being the Commando, Raven, Centurion and Dragon (I like mechs with mixed load outs hehe). Looking forward to coring some mechs with you guys

Yea i keep switching between the Hunchback and the atlas. Some days i say the reduction in speed is worth the extra Armour and armaments and other days i'm like we'll need the speed so its been a constant cycle of switching.

I'm all for a little more speed over fire power. I'd rather be able to close with an enemy faster than to get kited because i was too slow. Some pilots can't handle it once you're in their face spewing AC 20 rounds

well that atlas has LRM's and Medium Lasers so kiting it is still difficult. But i like the idea of bullrushing the enemy with a hunchback so the atlas or other mechs can make their way into the enemy lines and just raining destruciton down. But i think the mech I will play the most will be a Centurion. The Speed advantage it has is pretty dramatic and will make kiting possible. And i enjoy playing that style of gameplay. In League of legends i played the carry's so that was my primary style of gameplay.

Sounds good hehe. Want to try the centurion myself, always loved mixed loadouts.

It seems a lot of the population is going to be made up of old school players, which is cool. I also started way back in Mech 2 when it was just the demo mission "Bone machine" and have played every PC title since (except Mech Commander 2).

I've always preferred piloting heavies over anything else. I've never been much of an up close brawler though. Instead I go for the passive radar sneaky type with a jump jet mech if able, or long range missle boat. Mid-Long range is what I like. All time favorite mech has to be a tossup between the Thanatos and Mad Cat MKII. I know very little about how this game works compared to Mech 4 (not a founder so I'm waiting for the release) but I hope I can find a niche in it.
